Fix-ed Students Continue Repair & Design Of Assistive Mobility Devices

After some educational and inspirational trips, which saw students engaging with local residents in aged care as part of the human centred design process, students are currently back in the workshop fixing a range of assistive mobility devices.

The devices will be given new life, and during the repair process, students will take into strong consideration the needs of the elderly residents they visited. This will allow for a number of opportunities to improve the devices and add design features which ensure that they provide strong value to the users. It’s a great way for students to really empathise with those they are designing for, and we’ll look forward to opportunities to test the devices out and make further improvements.

We’ll keep you updated as students progress on their Fix-ed journey!
